The Partners and Associates of The Field Alliance are motivated by a concern for the problems which face rural communities, and they share a willingness to help farming families to address these problems. The Alliance has not been created for any political, commercial, academic or bureaucratic purpose; instead, it has been built on a vision of farmer's rights and sustainable livelihoods, and a sense of responsibility to use the expertise and experience which the is available to the Alliance in a way which supports the aspirations of rural people.
